Nina Simone Family Friends French Lesson is Now Distributed By K.E.S. Music and Video Distribution

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 17, 2010 -- K.E.S. Music & Video Distribution and Andy Stroud Inc. successfully inked a distribution deal today. K.E.S. Distribution will handle the worldwide distribution of the Nina Simone Family Friends French Lesson CD. K.E.S. will provide product placement and fulfillment of this timeless classic. This CD album has been released on the Andy Stroud Record label. The CD will be made available at various retail stores through out America and Key foreign countries. Family Friends French lesson is a compilation of rare Nina Simone performances and other performances of her Family, Friends and a French Lesson. This first time release of these performances will provide a rare opportunity for Nina's worldwide audience to hear and appreciate the "High Priestess of Soul."


Family: R&B group FRICTION include Andy Stroud's two sons, Andy Jr. (Bucky) and Renny Stroud along with two of Bucky's U.S. Army buddies Lillad "Maverick" Gaither and Al "Monster Man" Hazard. FRICTION lent a hand writing "Bar-B-Que" "Fantasy" and "Papers". Cousin Sandra Bashan, a new and bright singer, performs "Misty"and " Whatever Lola Wants".

FRIENDS: Legendary Hazel Scott, classically trained (Julliard) pianist and singer, numerous Carnegie Hall concerts (very similar to Nina). The one and only recording of these two jazz legends playing piano and singing "Nobody Wants You When You're down and Out ". A collector's dream!

Boy Edgar was one of Holland's outstanding jazz musicians, conductor, pianist, trumpeter, arranger and leader of the Boy Edgar's Big Band. He was Also a world famous neurologist (brain surgeon) who was strongly influenced by Duke Ellington and the Ellington sound can be heard in "Amsterdam Jam" and "It Don't mean a Thing" when Boy backs up Nina's singing.

FRENCH LESSON: A recording of an actual French Lesson where the listener is able to hear Nina and her French tutor practicing the correct pronunciation of the French lyrics of Jacques Brel's "Ne Me Quitte Pas" followed by Nina's practice performance. A one of a kind record. The listener can also hear Nina's excellent use of French in "Exactly Like You" and French verbal exchange with her French speaking audience.

Chicago, IL (Billboard Publicity Wire) October 22, 2009 -- With a background deeply engrained in the Blues, Classic Rock, and Folk music - The Rick Weeds Band is reestablishing Classic Rock into the mainstream like no other on their debut album, It's True.

Lead singer/guitarist, Rick Weeds was born in Chicago in 1960 and was performing for family and friends at the age of 5 - he strummed his toy guitar while donning a Beatles wig and singing, "I love you, yeah, yeah, yeah."

Blues soon made an impression in Rick's life and his father's brandy-voiced version of "Old Man River", his first inspiration.

Growing up in Chicago in the 1970's and 80's, Rick witnesses an unsurpassed explosion of musical genres. From Folk to Classic Rock, and through an overwhelming, and sustaining force, The Blues - Rick found his passion. Weeds didn't just sing and play the Blues, he also lived them. He almost lost his life in a boating accident in 2000. He was with his wife Liz and son Ryne fishing in Wisconsin when a powerboat came out of nowhere and slammed right into them. Weeds was able to shove Liz and Ryne out of harm's way before being thrown into the water suffering a broken spine and a crushed right arm. Rick spent 35 days in intensive care followed by numerous surgeries to rebuild his right arm and a spinal fusion for his broken spine. After a year of therapy Weeds was able to return to his first love - the guitar.

"The day he picked up the guitar, he was born again," said Liz with tears in her eyes. "Music was his life, and he was able to live again. Here breeds this restless soul, envisioned with heart and passion, pursuing the craft which makes him what he is today."

The Rick Weeds Band is a cross of Muddy Waters with a soulful Blues feel. Neil Young with a mellow acoustic Folk feel and "The Who" with the driving Rock edge!

Weeds on lead vocals, rhythm, and lead guitar. Miz Liz on backup vocals and hand percussion. Kevin Lewandowski on lead, and rhythm guitar. Krisstoffer Haase on bass guitar. Dennis Voges on drums, and Sam Bellino as percussionist.

The Rick Weeds Band's album It's True, released by Second Floor Recordings and distributed by KES Music and Video Distribution, is currently available digitally and will be in stores on November 24th, 2009. Adamandevil Celebrated for Stand-out Track "Outnumbered" on Saber Bytes

The music industry is alive with praise for Danny Saber's latest project, the album Saber Bytes.

Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) August 11, 2009 -- The music industry is alive with praise for Danny Saber's latest project, the album Saber Bytes. And spurring on the buzz is the hit song "Outnumbered" by Adamandevil. "Outnumbered" is one of 12 tracks compiled by Saber for this album which showcases the best up and coming artists in alternative hybrid music.

Going out on their own after finding much success as members of the London band Whitey - Scott Fairbrother and Julian Shah-Tayler formed Adamandevil in their new home base of Hollywood, CA in July of 2007. They teamed up with Saber for "Outnumbered" who contributed extra guitars, production and mixing.

Industry websites are already celebrating the duo's work. "Outnumbered" was selected as Benny's Pick of the Month for Buzzbin Magazine.

"When you first hear "Outnumbered" by Adamandevil you think Nine Inch Nails, meets David Bowie, meets Talking Heads. Very well produced song with a lot going on," Benny writes. "On one hand it's almost a dance song and yet you can sit, smoke and listen to it over and over each time seeing it from a different angle, the angry, the desolate, the take charge parts, trying to prepare and protect."

Music blogger Mojophenia writes, "Scott Fairbrother and Julian Shah-Tayler have fresh ideas for their style of Alternative Electrolica, a deliberate attempt to raise Pop sentiments with spacious beats and self produced mixes. If the now Hollywood based duo`s first EP is anything to go by, the quality laden new album will almost certainly be something special."

And with the help of Danny Saber it's sure to be, as Adamandevil are currently mixing their self-produced debut album with Saber. One of their songs, "Weeds" has already been placed in the Indy film "2.22" whose cast includes Val Kilmer and Gabriel Byrne.

Meanwhile, Saber Bytes continues to tear up the charts - reaching an impressive #15 spot on the Top 200 CMJ Radio Charts following its May debut release.
